Set back from the High Street, Pickney House is ideally located for a fun family seaside holiday or get together with friends. Superbly equipped and recently refurbished, this cosy and comfortable house offers good accommodation on three levels. There is a delightful living room with feature fireplace and SKY TV with DVD player, a charming kitchen/dining room with large pine table for group meals and private garden with patio furniture and BBQ for al fresco dining. All the character and charm of this enchanting house has been retained as has the name 'Pickney' which is Caribbean slang for happy children!

Just a short walk will bring you to the beach and High Street where you will find an eclectic mix of shops, high quality restaurants, traditional public houses, art galleries, independent cinema and even an award winning fish and chip shop. Picturesquely set on the East Suffolk Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh is best known for its connections with the composer Benjamin Britten. The annual acclaimed Arts and Music Festival is staged at the nearby Snape Maltings Concert Hall attracting many famous names and visitors.

Aldeburgh appeals to all age groups, there is a thriving sailing community, two local golf courses, tennis courts, sea fishing as well as the popular Aldeburgh Carnival held every year in August. Venturing further afield the delights of the Heritage Coast are all within easy reach, most notably: Southwold, home to the Adnams Brewery, working lighthouse, Art Deco pier and super sandy beaches, Woodbridge, a beautiful historic market town situated on the river Deben, Orford with its 12th century castle and oysterage, Thorpeness Mere and boating lake, Dunwich, Walberswick and the RSPB nature reserve at Minsmere.

The accommodation provides: Living room with SKY TV with DVD player. WIFI is installed for your use. Kitchen/dining room with table and chairs seating 12 people and SKY TV. Utility room with washer/dryer and a separate cloakroom on the ground floor. First floor; two twin bedded rooms, one bedroom with bunk beds and family bathroom. Second floor; one triple bedroom, one single bedroom, one twin bedroom and separate shower room. There is an enclosed private garden with patio furniture, parasol and BBQ.

*We will permit one small to medium size dog to stay at Pickney House. Dogs must stay on the ground floor and not be allowed on the furniture, you must bring all bedding, bowls and towels for your dog. There is a £50 charge for your pet.
